IBEI is an Inter-University Institute created in 2004 as a joint initiative between five public universities in the Barcelona metropolitan area, including those ranked 1,3,6 and 7 in Spain (QS world rankings) and therefore draws on a very wide range of high quality academic experience. It has its own premises and administrative supports as well as the ability to draw on the libraries, facilities and expertise of the founding universities.
