IBEI Fellows Lara Klossek and Shashwat Kumar attended the Kautilya Fellows Program, 18-28 February 2019 in New Delhi. Kautilya Fellows Program was organized by India Foundation. The Program consisted of two modules, one on India’s Foreign Policy and the other one on India’s Public Policy. The program had also organized a visit to Kumbh Mela, which both of us attended.
The two modules broadly consisted of the following:
1) Foreign Policy Module
Day 1- India and its Neighbourhood
Day 2- India and Multilateralism
Day 3- India’s Relation with Strategic Partners
Day 4- Key Agendas in India’s Foreign Policy
2) Public Policy Module
Day 1- Indian Polity
Day 2- Indian Economy – Development and Reforms
Day 3- Governance, Policy-making and Institutions in India
Day 4- Society and Education
Under Foreign Policy Module, Lara Kloosek had an interaction with the Honorable Minister of External Affairs Mrs. Sushma Swaraj. Under Public Policy Module, Shashwat Jumar had an interaction with the Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu.
