Biography

Dr. Seyed Hossein Zarhani is a research fellow and lecturer at the Political Science Department of the South Asia Institute at Heidelberg University. He holds a doctoral degree in political science from Heidelberg University.

He is currently pursuing his habilitation with a comparative research project on the political economy in Iran and India. His research interests include governance and development in India; subnational politics in India, and political economy with a focus on South Asia, especially regulatory reforms. He is the author of Governance and Development in India: A Comparative Study on Andhra Pradesh and Bihar after Liberalization published by Routledge in 2019.
