Launch of Journal of Transdisciplinary Peace Praxis (JTPP)

The Journal of Transdisciplinary Peace Praxis (JTPP), peer-reviewed and bi-annual, is launching its first Issue on 30 January 2019. The Advisory Board has members of the Global India Project: Dr Jacint Jordana (IBEI), Dr Lenin Raghuvanshi (PVCHR), Prof. Rahul Mukherji (HEID), and Prof. John Doyle (DCU).

JTPP fills an important transdisciplinary gap, which often neglects opportunities for truly collaborative research and praxis on the complex and multi-dimensional realities of positive peace and reconciliation systems. JTPP endeavours to support scholarship that highlights:

  • The human potential for transformation;
  • A holistic and collaborative approach to complex systems;
  • The transdisciplinary nature of solutions to wicked social problems; and
  • A shared sense of purpose in human transnational activism for change.

JTPP thus provides a dynamic forum for sharing information and experiences primarily catering to academics, activists particularly in the disciplines of Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Human Rights, History and professionals, policymakers, organisations, institutions and individuals who nurture a firm belief in peace and human rights.

Calls for Papers for the Second Issue are currently being made.  JTPP, for its second issue, invites submissions that explore the true human costs of social conflict on institutions, communities, and the public good which seems to be slowly eroding in the current era of populist and authoritarian politics the world over. Please find below the deadlines for the Second Issue, programmed to be released 21 July 2019.
